Birallee Beer & Brewing: How to Fit Straps to your FermZilla Pressure Fermenter

These straps are a simple and effective way of tethering your FermZilla to the included metal stand. This makes it much easier to move the FermZilla by picking it up by the handles and having the base move with it.

Why Use FermZilla Straps?

Without the straps you'll either need someone else to move the stand for you, or you'll have to find some other way to sit the FermZilla in place while you move it - not an easy thing to do given the round base of the FermZilla, which will see it spill onto its side if sat on a flat surface.

The FermZilla straps are a must have accessory in our opinion

Based on this, they really are a must have accessory, but unfortunately don't come with any instructions on how to fit them, so we made some ourselves. Read on to see exactly how to easily fit the carry straps to your FermZilla.

Instructions to Fit FermZilla Straps

Follow the steps below to attach the straps

1. Get FermZilla Ready

Sit the FermZilla in it's stand

Put the straps onto the Fermzilla, starting with the large opening that goes around the lid/collar

Untangle/untwist the straps so they are straight

2. Secure the Straps

Run the length of the strap under the metal base support and back up to the clip

Feed the strap through the clip from the underside - use the upper gap as pictured below

Feed the strap up through the bottom

Feed the strap back down through the gap at the bottom of the clip and pull tight

Feed strap back through the gap and pull tight

Repeat the above steps for the other 2 straps/clips

3. Tidy Up

Secure any excess bits of strap with rubber bands - especially useful if you are using the 35L FermZilla (as the straps are universal so they can also be used with the larger 65L FermZilla)
